We certainly love having beautiful bluebirds around our home & property! It’s truly a joy to watch a pair of these little birds as they build their nest raise their families each year.

When we purchased our home, we noticed that the previous owners had put up a nesting box close to where the garden is. I wasn’t terribly familiar with bluebirds since we had lived in the city for the last 20 years. After discovering and watching the birds that first spring, we were hooked and had to have more! I found some nesting box plans and built 6 more Eastern bluebird houses and placed them throughout our property.

That was over 10 years ago. We now have a bluebird family in most of the boxes each year. I finally broke down and purchased a digital camera so I look forward to taking lots of pictures this spring and will post them on our site.We hope you enjoy the site we’ve created! It’s nothing fancy, but we plan to add lots of new information in the future. One of our main goals is to promote the conservation of bluebirds and one of the best ways to do that is to create suitable habitat for the birds.
